Dancing With the Stars brought the magic of Disneyland to the ballroom for its annual Disney Night, and the stars did not disappoint when they hit the floor.
After an opening number set to Beauty and the Beast’s “Be Our Guest” with special guests Danny Gardner (who plays Lumière in the touring production), Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofy and the whole gang, the remaining DWTS couples kicked off a rousing night of magical dances and thrilling competition on Tuesday, October 7.
The evening began with an energetic quickstep from Dylan Efron inspired by Cars’ Lightning McQueen.
“Dylan McQueen, the quickstep king,” judge Derek Hough told Efron, before fellow panelists Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonoli predicted he’d make it far in the competition.
After Efron and pro Daniella Karagach scored a 23 out of 30, cohost Julianne Hough wondered why he opted against performing a High School Musical tribute. (Dylan’s older brother, Zac Efron, famously starred as Troy Bolton in the trilogy.)
“I have something special for next week if I’m still here,” Dylan teased of his potential Dedication Night routine.
The enchanting evening, however, came to a close with Hilaria Baldwin and Gleb Savchenko being eliminated from the competition.
“This has been an incredible experience. I am so grateful to all of you,” Baldwin said, also expressing her gratitude to her family. “I’m cheering on everybody in the cast because this has been an amazing time.”
