Danielle Fishel is feeling the love and support from the Boy Meets World cast as she dances away in the ballroom.
“I have talked to pretty much everybody. Everyone has reached out,” Fishel, 44, exclusively shared with Us Weekly on Tuesday, September 30, after performing during TikTok Night on Dancing With the Stars. “Everyone has voiced their support. And you know, if we stick around long enough, we’re really hoping that everyone gets a chance to come and sit in the ballroom, and we can have a nice little reunion.”
During week 1 of the competition, Rider Strong and Will Friedle were spotted in the audience. The duo are also Fishel’s cohosts on iHeartRadio’s “Pod Meets World” podcast.
When asked if a Boy Meets World tribute could appear in a future dance, Fishel — known for her role as Topanga — didn’t rule it out.
“If we stick around long enough, we have something very, very special planned,” she teased to Us on September 16. “We will tribute Boy Meets World in the most Boy Meets World way we can. We will also do the lipstick. We’re gonna have to incorporate the lipstick into a dance.”
Until then, Fishel is still recovering from a leg injury that left her with large (and purple) bruises.
Fortunately, she was able to get some relief this week as she danced the foxtrot to “Manchild” by Sabrina Carpenter. Fishel and her professional partner, Pasha Pashkov, received 21 out of 30 for their dance during TikTok week.
“I think for this specific one, the foxtrot is a good dance,” Pashkov, 39, explained to Us on Tuesday. “It is definitely less intense than the cartwheel and the split.”
Fishel added, “I begged him to throw cartwheels in, but he refused.”
After advancing into another week of competition, Fishel said she was feeling “so good” as she prepared to celebrate with a feast after the show.
“We’re gonna have pasta and chocolate lava cake and tiramisu,” she told Us. “We’ve been working hard all week, and dancing on a full, heavy stomach is no fun. You honestly are eating pretty light all week. Then Tuesday rolls around and I literally wake up and I’m like, ‘What am I gonna eat tonight?’”
As the competition continues, Fishel remains grateful for the support of her husband, Jensen Karp, who hasn’t missed one show.
“He’s the biggest support, couldn’t do any of this without him,” she said on the Wednesday, October 1, episode of iHeartRadio’s “Danielle With the Stars” podcast. “It means the world to me. He’s not missed a show.”
She also gave a shoutout to wrestler CM Punk, comedian Lauren Lapkus, actress Arden Myrin and George and Mayan Lopez for showing up to support during week 3.
Dancing With the Stars airs on ABC and Disney+ Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET.
