This is some rich chocolate.
The famous Frrrozen Hot Chocolate at Serendipity 3 will be extra decadent this Valentine’s Day — as it’s being served with an actual diamond.
The renowned eatery will be offering an over-the-top version of its iconic dessert with a hollow milk chocolate heart that contains a sparkler ranging from 0.1 to 1.2 carats — valued at anywhere from $15 to $10,000 — for one day only.
Customers are served a little wooden mallet with their $29.95 hot chocolate in order to bust open the heart — and expose their jewel.
“Serendipity 3 has always been about turning food into an experience,” said creative director Joe Calderone.
“For Valentine’s Day, we wanted to create something truly extraordinary — a moment of surprise,
romance and joy that guests will remember forever.”
The Frrrozen Hot Chocolate, a favorite of celeb clients like Kim Kardashian, Blake Lively, John Travolta, Cardi B and Selena Gomez, contains 14 cocoas blended with milk and ice, and usually sells for $19.95.
The delectable dessert debuted in 1955 at the restaurant’s flagship Upper East Side location, where rom-coms like “One Fine Day” and “Serendipity” were filmed.
Since then, they’ve sold over 30 million.
The special Valentine’s Day version will be on the menu at both their Upper East Side restaurant and their second location on West 47th Street in Times Square, which opened in 2024.
For the lavish project, Calderone partnered with Brazilian model Isabela Grutman, who founded her own jewelry company in 2022.
The winner of the sole 1.2-carat diamond will collaborate with her to turn the stone into a signature jewelry piece.
