Teens waved terrorist flags and learned Maoist war tactics at a radical “Anti-Imperialist Summer Camp” hidden in the Pacific Northwest, The Post has learned.
The late August camp, run by the terror-linked Anti-Imperialist Front USA (AIF-USA), was attended by teenagers from their offshoot, Revolutionary Youth, along with community college students and young workers, in the Pacific Northwest, according to materials provided to The Post by education watchdog group the North American Values Institute (NAVI).
Pictures from the trip showed nearly 20 hoodie- and bandana-clad campers sitting around a fire alongside flags from several terrorist groups, one of which read “Victory to the Axis of Resistance!” — the network that includes Hamas, the Houthis and Hezbollah.
Another picture shows the campers displaying flags from The Islamic Republic of Iran, the Palestinian flag, a green flag displaying the Shahada — the Muslim declaration of faith, and the Hezbollah flag.
The campers studied documents from multiple foreign communist groups that have been designated as terrorist organizations in their home countries, according to a since-deleted Aug. 21 post on their website.
One group studied was the Communist Party of Peru, also known as Shining Path which killed over 35,000 people in their attempt to overthrow the Peruvian government launched in 1980 and disapeared countless others.
“These studies deepened participant’s [sic] grasp of the international significance of the People’s Wars in Peru, Turkey, India, and the Philippines. As the People’s Wars across the globe showcase the only path to freedom for the working class and oppressed peoples,” the website stated.
Another group studied was the Communist Party of Turkey/Marxist Leninist, which was founded in 1972 for the purpose of “armed struggle” and is a designated terrorist group by the Turkish government. The group has staged numerous kidnappings and attacks on Turkish soldiers and police.
The campers also studied was the Communist Party of India (Maoist) which was formed in 2004 and has committed over 4,000 terrorist attacks since its founding, according to the South Asia Terrorist Portal.
It is not immediately clear exactly where in the Pacific Northwest the camp was held.
“Camaraderie was strengthened through physical discipline cultivated through sports and collective singing of revolutionary songs. Exercise and diligent study strengthened comrades revolutionary optimist spirits,” the group’s website said of the trip’s itinerary.
The Seattle chapter of Revolutionary Youth participated in the camp along with chapters from Bellevue, Puget Sound, Bellingham and Isiquah, according to an Aug. 25 post on their Instagram page.
NAVI Director of Research Mika Hackner said that Revolutionary Youth recruits new members from high school campuses across the West Coast by staging class walkouts — most recently on the anniversary of Oct. 7.
“High schoolers are being led into a dangerous, violent ideology by groups associated with terrorist organizations,” Hackner said.
The AIF-USA’s website was hosted on servers operated by the Italian extremist group Autistici/Inventati (A/I Collective), which was sanctioned by the US Treasury and designated a Global Terrorist group by the State Department in August.
“Autistici/Inventati (A/I Collective) is an Italy-based extremist group that builds and operates the digital infrastructure for violent Antifa cells and other far-left militants across the world,” the State Department stated.
After the Aug. 26 terrorist designation, their servers were no longer available in the US and the AIF-USA website was taken down.
Austitici/Inventati provided a suite of technological services — including web hosting, encrypted chats, email and video conferencing — to terrorist groups including Masar Badil, a front for the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), according to the Treasury Department.
The AIF-USA trains its members on teachings from the Iran-backed terrorist group Hezbollah that has launched some 20,000 rockets at civilian targets in Northern Israel since Oct. 7, 2023, according to their worksheet “Learn from Hezbollah.”
