“I’m from Long Beach — beach city, beach city, that’s my claim to fame,” rapped Snoop Dogg in 2015.
And now, Long Beach is about to get its first-ever large-scale waterfront music venue — and it’s kicking things off in true LBC style with its favorite hometown hero.
The Long Beach Amphitheater, an 11,000-capacity outdoor venue nestled along the waterfront near the Queen Mary, will officially open on Saturday, June 6, 2026.
And local Long Beach legend, global entertainer Snoop Dogg is headlining the grand opening concert with a special “Snoop Dogg & Friends” performance.
This new amphitheater is positioning itself as one of Southern California’s premier waterfront concert destinations, featuring stunning harbor and skyline views, premium seating with dedicated VIP entrances, VIP box suites, in-seat wait service, and a slew of food and beverage options.
It’s designed to be both a major concert hub and a community gathering spot.
Beyond opening night, the inaugural 2026 season lineup includes a diverse mix of artists: Lil Wayne with The Game & 2 Chainz; Toto with Christopher Cross and The Romantics; country crooner Luke Bryan; A Great Night in Hip Hop featuring Nas and The Roots; Deep Purple with Kansas; Mötley Crüe with Tesla and Extreme, and so much more.
For a city with deep ties to the West Coast hip-hop scene, having local legend Snoop open the venue feels like a full-circle moment.
Tickets for the grand opening and the full season are now available at longbeachamp.com.
