Jesse Williams has accused his ex-wife, Aryn Drake-Lee, of violating the court’s decision to award him sole custody over their children’s healthcare.

According to court documents filed on Tuesday, May 6, and obtained by Us Weekly, Williams, 43, claimed that Drake-Lee, 43, has “blocked” the previous court order by “threatening” their children’s orthodontist. (Williams and Drake-Lee share daughter Sadie, 11, and son Maceo, 9.)

“During our meeting with the children’s orthodontist when we were to discuss, among other things, the doctor’s game plan for treating Sadie’s impacted upper right canine tooth and the growing cyst around her tooth,” the filing read. “Aryn aggressively told the doctor she does not consent to treatment and that she will SUE the doctor if he touches the children. The orthodontist promptly asked us to leave.”

Williams noted that he apologized to the orthodontist following the incident and left the practice. The actor claimed that his daughter was confused by her mother’s alleged outburst.

“What is wrong with Mom? Did we get kicked out? Why does she keep doing this? Why won’t she let me get braces?” Sadie allegedly said, per the filing. “Can we just go back without her?”

Williams added that his daughter has been waiting since August 2024 to have the dental work done and Drake-Lee has allegedly refused to allow the treatment. The Grey’s Anatomy alum made the appointment for his daughter after he was awarded custody over his children’s healthcare needs earlier this year. He notified and invited Drake-Lee to the appointment as the court instructed him to do.

He argued that Sadie should not have to wait any longer to treat the condition since it could lead to complications and “risks.”

Williams asked the court that he be “permitted to obtain healthcare treatment for the children without any notice” to Drake-Lee and prohibit her “from interfering with or communicating with the healthcare providers.” He also requested that a decision be made sooner than the pair’s next court date, which is scheduled for July, as he is worried about his daughter’s condition.

In Touch was first to report the news.

In March, a judge granted Williams sole legal custody “of the minor children as to their healthcare,” per docs obtained by In Touch. He was also required to inform Drake-Lee of all information regarding their kids’ health, education and welfare.
