Kris Jenner brought elegance to the Italian screening of All’s Fair in an ensemble that once belonged to icon Elizabeth Taylor herself.
Jenner, 70, attended the Saturday, October 24, premiere of All’s Fair season 2 at the 21st Rome Film Festival, donning Taylor’s black velvet cape from Tiziani embroidered with diamanté scorpions. The Kardashians matriarch wore a white gown underneath the hooded cape, which she paired with matching gloves and a diamond drop necklace.
Jenner purchased the cape, which Taylor famously wore to Princess Grace’s 40th birthday party in 1969, at auction. Her daughter Kim Kardashian also sported the silk-lined shawl for an upcoming episode of All’s Fair season 2.
“Fun fact about the cape my mom is wearing. It belonged to Elizabeth Taylor, and my mom now owns it and graciously let me wear it in All’s Fair,” Kardashian, 46, wrote via her Instagram Stories on Sunday, October 25. “After Ryan Murphy heard the story of Elizabeth Taylor wearing it to Grace Kelly’s Scorpion Ball, naturally, he made sure to write an episode about Allura Grant throwing her own Scorpion Ball.”
Kardashian stars as divorce attorney Allura Grant in Murphy’s campy legal procedural.
“I’m the luckiest girl to have borrowed it from my mom,” she gushed in her upload. “Tune in to see it debut in All’s Fair 😉 .”
While Jenner rocked the vintage cape during Saturday’s premiere, Kardashian opted for an archival YSL corset gown with an accompanying off-the-shoulder shawl. She paired her leopard-print frock with a slick, high ponytail.
“What a whirlwind you looked STUNNING, I love you!!! 🐆🖤,” Jenner wrote via Instagram comment after her daughter shared red carpet photos.
Kardashian’s outfit was styled by Law Roach, who revealed via social media that the Haute Couture fall 1986 dress was sourced from Lily Et Cie.
“Court is now in session,” Roach, 48, wrote via Instagram.
