If you are “scouting” the best donut this summer, look no further than Krispy Kreme.
Even in the off-season for Girl Scout Cookies, fans can finally get their fix in Krispy Kreme’s new collab. Starting today, Krispy Kreme is releasing a limited-edition “Girl Scout Cookie Inspired Dozen,” featuring three new donut flavors inspired by the best-selling treats and combining two comfort-food sweets.
The triad consists of a Thin Mints Doughnut, a Lemon-Ups Doughnut and a Coconut Caramel Doughnut. The three are flavor-adjacent to the famous cookies, even including some of the cookie crumbs on the doughnuts themselves.
The Thin Mint Doughnut is an Original Glazed doughnut dipped in chocolate and topped with Thin Mint cookie crumbles, chocolate chips and mint green icing drizzle. The Lemon-Ups Doughnut is an unglazed doughnut shell filled with tart lemon crisp cream and garnished with lemon icing piped in a lemon-design.
The Coconut Caramel glazed doughnut has toasted coconut pieces, chocolate icing and caramel swirl. With “dupe” culture, brands like Keebler and Walmart’s Clover Valley try to replicate Samoas (Caramel deLites) and Thin Mints for fans to enjoy during the off season. Krispy Kreme is using them as inspiration for a new treat.
The trio can be snagged as a dozen, a specialty three-pack trio or solo. Retailers like Walmart, Target, Albertsons and Kroger are also selling exclusive limited-edition six-packs featuring three Thin Mints and three Original Glazed doughnuts for those on the go.
“Girl Scout Cookie flavors are iconic for a reason,” said Alison Holder, Krispy Kreme’s Chief Brand and Product Officer. “Reimagining them as doughnuts is a fun way to bring those familiar favorites to fans in a completely new and truly irresistible way.”
One fan on Instagram commented, “I’ve never been more excited for a collection,” while another admitted they were “already drooling” over the Thin Mint reveal. On TikTok, food-influencers are already posting mukbang content and reviews.
@eatsbynatt tested the lineup, ranking the lemon-up a perfect 10/10. “This might be in my top three favorite Krispy Kreme doughnuts of all time,” she told her followers between bites, comparing the filling to a refreshing sorbet.
She followed up by praising the Thin Mint and Coconut Caramel varieties, warning fans not to skip a single one.
Krispy Kreme is continuing to stay on viral trends, including recent World Cup and America 250 collections. But this Girl Scout pairing is evoking nostalgia for beloved flavors for a limited time.
