A “hero” mom of three was gunned down while trying to help a woman who had just been jumped outside a Pennsylvania bar, her grief-stricken family said.
Jessica Hilliard, 34, was shot and killed in the parking lot outside Niki’s Quick Six in Parks Township on Saturday night when she apparently tried to help break up a fight between the woman and the alleged gunman.
“A man was possibly putting his hands on a female and her and another friend, you know, tried to step in and stop it,” the slain woman’s sister, Hailey Frawley, told Action News 4.
“And that individual who was, you know, going after the female is the person who ended up shooting” Hilliard and three others, the sister said.
The deadly saga unfolded when the woman rushed into the bar just before 1 a.m., claiming she had just been jumped by the suspect — whom cops later identified as David Dunmire, 36, as he was hit with 16 charges, including four counts of criminal homicide.
Hilliard and several others rushed outside to intervene, according to her family and police.
Surveillance video captured Dunmire allegedly whipping out a gun and firing seven times at the crowd as he tried to flee, police said.

The mother was struck multiple times in the chest.
“Our sister died a hero, and she is the kind of person who would always jump in to help anybody, regardless of if she knew them or not,” her other sister, Amanda Evacheck, said.
“And she’s been like that her whole life.”
A 24-year-old woman, 25-year-old man and a 34-year-old man were also shot in the ordeal, police said.
The alleged gunman was nabbed at the scene and now faces 16 charges, including four counts of criminal homicide.
