While I wish that summer would last forever, I must admit that I’m extremely excited for fall fashion. Nordstrom apparently feels the same way. The retailer couldn’t wait until the official end of summer to start adding some of the most gorgeous sweaters I’ve ever seen on the site, and these 15 are my favorite.

If the quiet luxury selection is any indication of upcoming fall trends, we expect to see ‘It’ girls wearing preppy styles, lacey details and quality-made cashmere designs — all of which will be cornerstones in your wardrobe, too. I scoured the new drop to bring you the most rich mom-inspired options that will complete your autumn wardrobe this year. Happy (almost) fall!

15 New Sweater Styles in Nordstrom’s Fall Drop

1. Our Favorite: What do you get when you combine a rugby shirt silhouette with a polo neckline, contrasting cuffs and the softest yarn? This preppy sweater that you’ll want to wear under all season.

2. Cardigan Refresh: While thin cardigans will always be a closet must-have, we’ve been eyeing this pointelle-stitched short-sleeved sweater top. It’s a bit more dimensional and breathes new life into the classic layering staple.

3. The Perfect Blend: Combo knits — namely merino wool and cotton compositions — are the best for in-between days. This mock-neck style is warm enough for chilly days while still feeling breathable.

4. All in the Details: Lace gives any sweater an inherent vintage feel. The lace hem on this drop-shoulder sweater also helps the relaxed piece look a bit more elevated, even when it’s worn with jeans.

5. Built-In Accessory: No need to decide what scarf to pair with this button-up wool sweater during brisk fall days because it comes with a detachable one!

But this time is different; after discovering Amazon’s late-summer selection, we’re ditching our Zara carts (well, for now at least). These summer-to-fall staples are just as polished, […]

6. Sporty Spice: Although it might seem like a minuscule detail, the striped stitching along the collar of this neutral polo sweater gives the design a tinge of quiet luxury.

7. Hourglass: An underrated feature of peplum sweaters? The silhouette gives the illusion of an hourglass figure. I’ve yet to see a design as polished as this cream pick.

8. Cashmere Steal: Cashmere sweaters are always a worthy investment since they’ll last in your wardrobe for years. Start with this short-sleeved layering piece that comes in seven universally flattering colors.

9. Textured Dreams: You know those extra fuzzy, chunky blankets that are difficult to unravel from? This boxy crewneck sweater is made from the same knit. Luckily, it’s socially acceptable to wear outside.

10. Upgraded Cable Knit: If you love the cable-knit stitch but want something that’s not so bulky, opt for this Free People sweater. It has a streamlined design that’s cozy yet chic.

11. Everyday Essential: Forget a white tee, this form-fitting mock-neck sweater is the non-negotiable basic in every woman’s autumn closet.

12. Go for a Classic: The ultimate rich mom sweater is none other than a cable-knit cardigan from City Blues. This V-neck style features a quilted stitch and color-block piping for an Ivy League-inspired feel.

13. No Brainer: If layering doesn’t intuitively come to you (it doesn’t for me), this mixed-media sweater takes out the guesswork with its built-in button-down details.

14. Go Green: Add a pop of color to your fall wardrobe with this eye-catching green pointelle sweater.

15. Zip It Up: It’s rare to find a refined zip-up sweater, but this preppy argyle style looks effortlessly sophisticated.
