Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco Are Married After 2 Years Together

Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco are officially married after tying the knot in a romantic wedding.

Gomez, 33, shared photos via Instagram from their star-studded nuptials in Santa Barbara, California, on Saturday, September 27. The wedding photos showcased Gomez wearing a strapless white wedding dress while holding a bouquet of white flowers.

In one romantic shot, Gomez kissed her new husband on the nose, whereas Blanco laid with his head in his bride’s lap in another gorgeous image.

Us Weekly exclusively learned that the couple’s family and closest friends were in attendance for a rehearsal dinner on Friday, September 26, prior to the ceremony taking place the following day.

Among the famous faces spotted attending the weekend festivities were Gomez’s Only Murders in the Building costars Paul Rudd, Steve Martin and Martin Short, though Meryl Streep was unable to attend the ceremony because she was attending Milan Fashion Week 2025 the same day.

A source revealed to Us that guests “still [did] not know exact locations for the rehearsal or the wedding” with less than 24 years to go before the ceremony. Instead, Gomez and Blanco planned to have guests picked up shuttle buses and transported directly to the gala. Vogue later reported that the wedding was held at Sea Crest Nursery.

“It will be a huge, A-list, star-studded wedding planned by Mindy Weiss,” the insider teased.

The Only Murders in the Building star and the record producer first sparked dating rumors in December 2023. Gomez soon confirmed the relationship on social media, describing Blanco as “my absolute everything in my heart” and revealing the two had been together for six months.

Prior to striking up a romance, Gomez and Blanco collaborated on various songs, including “Same Old Love” and “Kill Em With Kindness” from her 2015 album, Revival. Their working relationship led to a friendship, which eventually became something more.

“It was really simple. We got in the studio to work on a song and we just talked; that’s how easy it was for me. I liked him before he liked me,” Gomez said in a joint Interview magazine profile with Blanco published in February 2025.

Blanco confessed that he initially “had no idea” Gomez was interested in him romantically.

“We were in the session and I was like, ‘You should meet some of my friends. I can hook you up with some dates.’ I hadn’t thought about it at all,” he recalled. “And then we were texting afterwards and we decided to get dinner the next day. I guess she thought it was a date and I had no idea it was a date.”

Blanco finally realized on their “second date” that Gomez liked him.

He continued, “From then on, it was easy. You know when you think you met the right person, you’re like, ‘Oh, my God.’ But it feels so different. The second we started hanging out, I was like, ‘This is my wife.’ I was telling my mom, ‘This is the girl I’m going to marry.’ … She’s my best friend.”

Gomez announced her engagement to Blanco in December 2024, writing via Instagram, “Forever begins now.”

During a joint March 2025 appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Blanco revealed that Gomez nearly spoiled his proposal plans.

“She almost didn’t even come,” he shared. “She was like, ‘I really don’t feel that well. I think I’m just going to stay home today. Can’t we just make up the shoot another day?’ And I was like, ‘Uhh …’ I’m trying to figure out a way to do [it].”

Prior to her marriage to Blanco, Gomez dated Nick Jonas in 2008, Justin Bieber on and off from 2010 to 2018 and The Weeknd in 2017.
