Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco’s marriage is in full bloom.

The Only Murders in the Building actress, 34, and the music producer, 38, celebrated their first wedding anniversary on September 27, and she spelled the beans on the “sweet” way they marked the occasion.

“Oh, we actually just ate a piece of cake and watched videos in our pajamas,” Gomez told Extra’s Terri Seymour at her annual Rare Impact Fund Benefit in Los Angeles on Wednesday, October 16.

When asked what videos they watched, Gomez clarified, “The wedding videos! We’re so cheesy.”

Gomez and Blanco tied the knot in Santa Barbara, California, in September 2025 after just over two years of dating.

“The wedding was pretty simple and not your typical ‘celebrity’ lavish wedding,” a source exclusively told Us at the time. “They both just wanted to dance and have fun, and you could feel so much love from them.”

“Selena had nerves before doing her first look with Benny, but from that moment on, she was radiating joy,” a second insider told Us. “You could tell how happy she was, and she did not stop smiling or crying tears of joy the entire day. [Selena] kept saying this was the best weekend and day of her life, and how much it meant that everyone was there for them.”

The following month, Gomez reflected on her big day while speaking at a panel discussion during Fortune’s Most Powerful Women conference.

Selena Gomez and her husband,  producer Benny Blanco, officially tied the knot in September 2025, after getting engaged the previous December. “He is my absolute everything in my heart,” the “Wolves” singer wrote in an Instagram comment at the time. “He has been the best thing that’s ever happened to me.” Hints of the couple’s […]

“This is how I work personally, but [when] something great happens in my life, I expect something bad to happen,” she said. “So instead of being present and saying, ‘OK, wow, we’ve done a great thing,’ which I do, I’m always thinking, ‘OK, but this could all go away tomorrow. How can I make sure that doesn’t happen?’”

“I would say that’s my biggest conflict when wonderful things happen. I got married and then I was sobbing because I was like, ‘I’m gonna die the next day.’ I think that’s a little life [quirk],” she continued.

Earlier this year, Gomez’s Only Murders costar Martin Short shared an anecdote about how he almost ruined the wedding.

“Everything was perfect, except, the night of the reception … it was a big, big party, imagine a stage, dance floor, musicians,” Short, 76, revealed on Jimmy Kimmel Live! in January. “At the back of the tent were these individual seating areas with couches and chairs. So if you had a group — we had a group [of] Only Murders in the Building [cast and crew], there was about 12 of us. All of us together.”

“There was a cake, a wedding cake, by our section, but it was a small wedding cake. I just assumed there was a wedding cake for each section in the back,” the comedian explained. “After a few hours, they haven’t cut their wedding cake yet, Steve [Martin] said he’s gonna leave. I was like, ‘Oh, wait.’ Maybe I’d had a cocktail. I had a fork in my hand. I said, ‘Steve, you can’t leave yet without a piece of wedding cake!’ and I cut the wedding cake with one side, cut it the other, and then all the people in our group screamed, ‘Marty!’ It was the wedding cake. I tried to fix it with a fork.”

“I kept saying, ‘No, guys, we can’t let Selena know,’” Short recalled. “And Steve said, ‘Yeah, maybe we tell her in a month or something.’ And then as I was leaving, Selena came by [and said], ‘Hey Marty, I heard you tried to eat my cake.’”
