Case closed! The mystery man that actress Simone Ashley was spotted kissing at the 2025 US Open has seemingly been identified.
The man appears to be business man Tim Sykes. Bridgerton fans were abuzz when Ashley, 30, was spotted in the stands at the Jannik Sinner vs. Alexander Bublik match at Arthur Ashe Stadium in Queens, New York on Monday, September 1 — and she was decidedly not alone.
She was seen kissing and holding hands with the man now identified as Sykes, just three weeks after she was spotted taking a walk in New York City with Dawson’s Creek alum Joshua Jackson.
Simone also follows Sykes on Instagram, though his account is private. The entrepreneur is a managing partner of Wish You Were Here Group, a hospitality company that operates eight restaurants and bars around the country, according to his LinkedIn page.
“The Wish You Were Here Group is intrinsically tied to beach culture,” their website reads. “Our own hospitality histories began in the Northern beaches of Sydney and our branding and identity from the very first Ruby’s have aimed to bring this laidback Australian beachside ethos to the US hospitality scene.”
Now living in New York, Sykes graduated from University of Technology in Sydney, Australia in 2008.
As for Simone, she confirmed her breakup from boyfriend Constantin “Tino” Klein in a February appearance on BBC Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour.
“It’s kind of ironic [that] I’m promoting a rom-com and as of January this year, I’ve been entering my single era,” Ashley said while discussing her movie Picture This.
She told People the following month that she was not looking to jump into another relationship — not right away, anyway.
“It’s about self-growth, and I am looking for someone who is so confident in themselves and is really ready to have an open heart in the same way I do. And I think that’s hard to find,” she said.
“I’m not in a rush. It can be easy to jump into the next thing immediately, which is something that I am choosing not to do,” she added. “I want to take my time to find the right person for me and to work on myself — to grow, and to focus on my work.”
That work includes the highly anticipated The Devil Wears Prada 2, in which she will appear alongside Anne Hathaway and Meryl Streep.
“I’ve got such an incredible year ahead and I’m up to such exciting things,” she said. “And I have the most amazing family and friends around me. So I’m working on my heart and on myself and on my confidence.”
