Songwriter Aimee Mayo was one of the big winners during Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding weekend raffle.
“Thank you @taylorswift @killatrav, I never win anything (as far as tickets 🎟️ go),” Mayo, 54, wrote via Instagram on Friday, June 10. “I’ve never had a Chanel purse. The whole night was Willy Wonka Wonderful ✨✨✨.”
Mayo was among the star-studded guests present when Swift and Kelce, both 36, said “I do” inside New York City’s famed Madison Square garden. After an emotional ceremony, the newlyweds celebrated their union with a reception featuring a variety of food options and a raffle featuring a slew of luxury items, including Mayo’s new designer handbag.
“My daughter said it smelled like money. It kind of does,” Mayo quipped in her Friday unboxing video. “Look at this s***. Look at this! Oh my gosh, and then, when you open it … [there’s the raffle] ticket.”
Mayo further expressed her gratitude to Swift for her new purse.
“Thank you, Taylor, for this purse,” Mayo gushed. “I got lucky on this purse.”
Mayo wasn’t the only wedding guest to walk away with a Chanel gift. Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs teammate Drue Tranquill’s wife, Jackie Tranquill, also went home with a different handbag from the iconic brand.
As for Mayo, she attended Swift and Kelce’s big day alongside her husband, Chris Lindsey.
“Thank you @taylorswift and @killatrav. Last night was like something out of a dream,” Mayo wrote via Instagram the next day. “It really couldn’t have been more magical or fun.”
While Lindsay donned a classic black tuxedo with a coordinating wide-brimmed cap, Mayo stunned in a sparkly, blue sheath that she accessorized with a diamond choker necklace.
The bride and groom, meanwhile, each wore bespoke white Christian Dior haute couture ensembles.
“The bride and groom’s wedding ceremony looks have been created by Christian Dior Haute Couture. They are designed by Jonathan Anderson, Creative Director of Dior Women’s, Men’s and Haute Couture Collections, in close collaboration with the bride and groom,” a press release shared with Us Weekly read. “This is the designer’s first couture wedding dress for a world-renowned celebrity. [Both of] their shoes were custom made by Christian Louboutin and the bride wore Cartier jewelry.”
A rep for Dior has since confirmed that Swift will share the first photos of her bridal gown via Instagram at a currently undisclosed time.
