As the 30th season of The View approaches, cohost Ana Navarro is admitting she’s neglected her usual self-grooming habits.

“You all, The View begins September 8 and here’s the problem, I have done no self-grooming or self-care for almost a month and a half. So, I’m asking you for a little grace and time to get myself together, like, maybe give me a week after I go on live TV,” Navarro, 54, told fans in a Saturday, September 5, Instagram video before sharing nitty gritty details from her beauty to-do list.

“You see this? This is gray hair that I haven’t been able to color. You see these eyebrows? They are like the tails of squirrels, I have not had them plucked or waxed in over a month. You see these nails? There’s, like … a half inch growth going on here that I haven’t been able to take care of,” the political journalist and commentator hilariously revealed.

She continued, “Upper lip … Botox … lip filler … none of this is happening. This is how I’m going to go on TV [on] September 8. I am just forewarning you.”

Gary Gershoff/Getty Images; Dominik Bindl/Getty Images The View’s Ana Navarro seemingly threw some shade at Alyssa Farah Griffin when handing out gifts to her cohosts.  On the Friday, January 5, episode of the ABC talk show, Navarro, 52, celebrated her recent birthday by presenting Griffin, Joy Behar, Sara Haines and Sunny Hostin with pouches emblazoned […]

A caption on the post further expanded Navarro’s list. “My feet are even worse. My Botox expired like a month ago. I haven’t worn spanx — hell, I’ve hardly worn a bra — in almost two months,” she wrote. “Haven’t blow-dried my hair or put on make-up. Don’t even remember what it feels like to wear fake eye-lashes, push-up bras and hair extensions. I’ve been wearing loose-fitting kaftans, not come close to a scale and have been eating like a condemned person. I can’t remember the last time I wore high-heels.”

The TV personality then reiterated that she’s looking for fan patience as the daytime talk show returns for a landmark season. “Cut me some slack. What you see is what you get. Take a little time to enjoy the natural view,” she concluded.

Fans and celebrity friends, including fellow CNN journalist Don Lemon, showed their support for Navarro’s candor in her video’s comments section. “And still gorgeous. You’ve been living. Congratulations. Btw, I cut my own hair and nails this summer. Ate whatever I wanted and the only makeup I’ve had on was when ladies kissed my cheeks. No more tv makeup for me,” Lemon, 60, wrote. Another follower wrote, “It’s called … being on HOLIDAY!!!!”
