Traumatic Nevada woman speaks out after nose ripped off in traumatic dog bite

From man’s best friend to worst nightmare.

A 32-year-old Nevada woman named Shayna Crimo was left disfigured and screaming in sheer terror — after her canine unexpectedly tore off her nose in a gruesome, split-second mauling.

The incident occurred after she innocently leaned in to give the snoozing pooch, named King, a goodnight kiss. King was asleep in bed, curled up next to her boyfriend.

“Everything happened within the snap of a finger,” a traumatized Crimo recounted of the lighting-fast assault.

The bloodcurdling ordeal was featured in a clip of the hit reality TLC medical series “ER: Caught on Camera,” detailing the harrowing moments that altered the young woman’s face forever, according to People.

“When he bit, I screamed and he let go and ran away immediately,” Crimo said. “I looked at myself and I just screamed.”

The horrified owner quickly discovered the tip of her nose was gone.

“I knew that I got bit and that it was bad,’ she said.

The entire experience unfolded in roughly 30 seconds.

Crimo was rushed by ambulance to the emergency room — though, bizarrely, she said she doesn’t remember actually feeling pain from the grisly injury.

Once there, doctors flushed the gaping wound with saline to reduce the risk of infection.

Emergency physician Dr. J Mack Slaughter said the freak accident is actually the kind of thing he sees with alarming regularity. “I see them almost every shift,” Slaughter said of the scary injuries.

The vast majority of dog bite victims who come through his ER, he said, were attacked by either their own pet — or a friend’s.
