President Donald Trump shook hands with Bryson DeChambeau at Bethpage Black in Farmingdale, New York, on Friday to kick off the LIV Golf star’s afternoon session of the 2025 Ryder Cup.

Trump greeted DeChambeau, who was in the second group, as the pair walked over to the first tee. The president’s arrival at Bethpage Black had already been met with loud cheers as the crowd again broke out in familiar U-S-A chants.

Meanwhile, Team USA captain Keegan Bradley turned to the crowd and gave his best impression of the “Trump Dance,” drawing even louder cheers as the president joined the rest of Team USA.

Motivated by the president’s appearance, DeChambeau hit a 340-yard drive – echoing his first drive of the day that traveled 344 yards and just shy of the green.

The morning session saw Team USA struggle as Team Europe flew to a 3-1 lead.

“It’s not exactly what we wanted, but we know the Ryder Cup is going to be ebbs and flows, and I’ve got a lot of faith in our boys,” Bradley said.

TRUMP AND GRANDDAUGHTER KAI ARRIVE AT BETHPAGE BLACK FOR 2025 RYDER CUP

Trump, accompanied by his granddaughter Kai Trump, joked on his arrival in New York that he came amid rumors of the American’s early struggles.

“The team is not doing so well. So when I heard that, I said ‘Let’s go on the plane we have to try and help them!’”

Friday marked the president’s third appearance at a sporting event in New York this month alone. He appeared at the U.S. Open men’s final earlier this month, and returned on the 24th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks when he met with members of the New York Yankees ahead of their game against the Detroit Tigers.
