D4vd has been transferred to a new jail and segregated from other inmates due to his high profile after being accused of murdering and sexually abusing a 14-year-old girl.
The singer, real name David Burke, was moved to the Los Angeles County Men’s Central Jail just before 10 p.m. Monday following his arraignment, where he pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder, sex with a minor and more charges related to the death of Celeste Rivas.
One at the jail, he was separated from other inmates for being a “noteworthy” priosner and will spend time his time in custody alone, TMZ reported.

Prosecutors allege the 21-year-old musician killed Rivas with a “sharp instrument” after she threatened to expose their alleged sexual relationship, which authorities say could have damaged his career and implicated him in a criminal investigation.
Burke then allegedly dismembered the teen’s body and placed her remains into two bags, which were later found in his Tesla months after the killing, according to LA County District Attorney Nathan Hochman.
He has been charged with first-degree murder with special circumstances, including lying in wait, murder for financial gain, and killing a witness tied to an investigation.
Prosecutors say the “witness” charges stems from Rivas’ role in the underlying sexual misconduct investigation.
Additional charges against Burke include lewd and lascivious acts involving a child under 14 and mutilation of human remains. He faces life in prison.
During his arraignment Monday, Burke remained silent and largely out of public view as his legal team stood in front of him, blocking him from the courtroom’s line of sight.
Dressed in dark clothing and in handcuffs, he did not address the court as his attorneys entered a not guilty plea on his behalf.
The hearing took place shortly after the charges were formally announced.
Family members of the victim, including Rivas’ parents — Jesus Rivas and Mercedes Martinez, as well as her sister, Jennifer Martinez Hernandez — were present in the courtroom.
Burke’s loved ones say they are standing firmly behind the singer.
“We are disappointed but not surprised that the District Attorney made this decision. David’s family stands behind him 100%,” his family said in a statement provided through their attorney, Kent Schaffer.
